Leaf springs for the CJ6

Springs on the six are past best and wanted to change all 4, are there any compatable springs on other trucks, or am i to call lighthouse  :017:

I got a price here last year on retempering in Co. Laois Ireand. The guys were looking for 100 Euro a spring. You'd buy them for that which is what I did. Might bring the old ones in for scrap and get a few pound.

Yep everything to do with vehicles is expensive in Ireland especially compared with the UK and then massively different to the US

I wouldn't go spring over unless you are not driving it on the road (crap handling), you are not going to be running huge tyres that need the clearance given with a SOA, I have a 4" spring lift and a 1" body lift and I'm running 33" tyres and can get fully articulation without rubbing

He is monsterising it now :icon_super:

& the Molotov steers better on the SOA and 35's than it did stock - just needs to be done properly (ie a long painful process of trial and error :003: )

SOA = spring over axle ahhh i get it now

Gonna see how she handles, hoping the longer wheel base should help

Use YJ heavy duty rear springs all round on yer SOA will give good handling and cos they be flat you have similar upward and downward movement. or to put it this way I have them on the 1 Ton with axles that are twice the weight of CJ axles and it handles great. not done road but tarmac access roads at 50 odd and I' m still here :icon_twisted:
