Blue starts again
« on: July 08, 2012, 05:17:38 PM »

Removed starter motor and cleaned.   Removed back plate and had a peek in the brush department, all good.

Hooked motor up to spare battery and motor went round  :023:

Did a bit of reading on tinternet by googeling starter motor no worky .... yada.... yada...  :icon_rolleyes:

Check earth cable (can be duff) so re-installed starter and rigged additional earth jump lead....... fired.....no go  :icon_sad:

Since I've got such a strong clunc from the starter solenoid when turning the key, fiddled around with the nut on the feed from solenoid to starter ...........

and .....lift off  :icon_super:  :icon_super:  :icon_super:

that fookin simple ...nut off ....nut on ... go  :icon_redface:
Top tip : check/clean your leccy connections before running off to the starter motor chap
