Righto then.

My first question on the forum.

2003 GC 2.7

So - on my Jeep there is no dipstick for the auto transmission fluid.

I rang the agents for one and they said they could not sell me one because it is an agents only item.

What in Gods name is THAT all about. Why?

So - how do I get around this please.

The agents say they cannot supply one - they are not "allowed" to. Thats what they told me.

They want to charge me £150 for the filters, ATF and labour.

When I changed my Pajero ATF it was half an hour and about £17 odd. A slight difference.

Oh. I wonder why. Is this a way for them to make money or is it that they dont want DIYers "Having a go"?

Speaking of oils, my rear and front diff oils (75/140) were qutoted as £37 per litre from the Jeep agents.

The price they charge is roughly £14 per litre, so you can see why I think the Jeep agents are ripping me off. BIG STYLE
