here's an idea for your fire wood. club together  an order half tone or 1 ton load and have it delivered at the site , i did this last Xmas at a farm in Suffolk for a offroad weekend . we had wood for fire Friday night /Saturday ev BBQ and a large fire for the night

Burn enough wood early dig your self a 3x3x2 foot deep get half a lamb or large top side of beef ,place a load Of hot embers in the bottom foil up your beef place in hole. Pack with more embers cover with turf you removed from hole. And you have a ground roast.    The hole acts like an oven if you set it right.
