« on: March 24, 2013, 07:24:57 PM »

Can anyone tell me where I can get a sub woofer for my Wrangler? Do I have to fit a genuine one or is there an aftermarket model that is a direct replacement?????

I don't know much at all about the stock JK subwoofer, but I can highly recommend an Infinity Basslink like this one: http://uk.infinitysystems.com/infinity-product-detail-uk/basslink.html

I bought one used on eBay for my XJ so that I could turn the bass on the standard speakers down, and I was very surprised at how good it is! It sounds great with just about anything and can shake the rear hatch if you want it to, yet it's hardly audible from outside unless it's really blasting. :icon_super:

Looking at this picture it doesn't look too different to the standard one, so could possibly be put in the same place. They come with brackets so they can stand upright, and as it's made by Infinity it doesn't look too out of place. http://www.wranglerforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=53398&d=1307995765

They're very easy to fit and can take either a normal line-in, or accept a speaker-level input which is what I've done.

If you like the idea, you can often find them on eBay or Gumtree for £50-100.
