Heater not working - not resistor *fixed*
« on: January 10, 2013, 09:47:49 PM »

Bought a resistor because heater only worked when switch was between full and next setting below..
This hasn't resolved..
Seems that if i push the switch hard i can make it come on full power.. so I'm assuming the switch is knackered..
Two questions, how does all of the dash unscrew so i can get to switch panel and where do i get another switch from.. seems this is not a stocked part from doing a little searching.. any ideas gents? Typical as we are about to get a cold spell!!
Found this which I guess is what I need to find in the UK.. http://www.quadratec.com/products/55412_0005.htm

Thank you,
Mr smith.

To get access to the heater controls you'll need to pull off the trim where the screen vent is (under that are two screws) and then pull off the trim that surrounds the heater co trols and radio

Maybe see if a breakers has a TJ in? Often see them on eBay.

Or search 4x4 breakers through google, hope this helps.
