man in dirty raincoat - no mrs indicators
« on: January 24, 2013, 07:06:02 PM »

It’s the techy one from Kent again – no the other one
General weirdness happening with the indicators on the TJ
Front near side will not work on left indicator
I took out bulbs etc cleaned the contact and reinstalled
So what you may ask
The first is that the repeater works on left indicator (so not earthing in theory as they both use the same wire)
Second is that - switch on the hazards and surprise surprise they ALL work
What is going on

 :iagree:
Strip the stalk/switches down and regrease. Defo fixable just requires a bit of patience and an hour. I had it happen just before an mot.

A Cherokee indicator switch fits a TJ and they are all over ebay normally. I changed mine and opened up the old one and it looked like green aliens had been living inside. You can take them apart and clean them but just pay attention where everything goes.
