Hi
Has anyone improved the performance of their wrangler jk, 2.8CRD? If so how was it done and how well did it work?

The best bang for your buck would be a proper remap. Will cost around £300.

Google up Green Diesel Engineering..I've not used them, but heard some good things about their products on the  AJOR forum.

Right, having spent ages researching this, Black Code seem to be offering the best warranty (12 months). All companies seem to charge Around the £300 mark.
When this engine is sold new in a Mercedes you get an offer of different BHP specs and Black Code's remap is within Mercs tolerances.
Once I have had it done I will report back

Richard, if you're still talking about your 2.8CRD JK, then that engine is made by VM Motori and wasn't ever actually used in any Mercedes...

Brynjaminjones you are absolutely correct and I got my wires crossed. The mechanic I was talking to said he was talking about Diesel engines in general and in particular the S series Merc. :icon_toilet:

Haha, it's easily done. It took me a fair while to remember what engines were what in these things! :003:

Frosty has a tunit box on his 2.8 JK and says it's good, he turns it upf or offroad and towing the trailer or 'van but turns it down to lowest for normal use to stop himself getting carried away!

There is a company called DTE Systems and they actually let you try it out before you buy..might be worth a look.
