Hi all, new to this manor, recently bought a 2000 4.0l WJ with LPG, 138Kmiles
Engine sounded as sweet as a nut, overhauled steering box, replaced trackrod ends etc for MOT.
Started to have an engine management light intermittently, took it for an LPG service and was told I had a cylinder 1 misfire until warmed up!
Engine started to run hotter than usual, at one point was over the 100?!!!
Coolant level low on checking!!!!
I now have a tapping engine noise..........
from reading old threads looks like the overheating is a big problem.
What could have caused the loss of coolant to cause the overheating?
Head Gasket???
I've started to strip down, first the rocker cover to have a looky see, but cant get the rear bolt out, access rather than seized???
Any tips for getting the cover off???
