2002 CHEROKEE CRD COMMERICAL

Hi all
first time here
lm looking at buying above cherokee crd commerical
it has 71 k on clock and very clean
2 questions
my local garage to me to find out what type of head it has
told not to get 4 cylinder by 4[split in 4 ]
to get engine with 4 cylinder by 1[all one head]
which one does this cherokee have
 and finally when do you get timing belt changed as it has 71k already,local jeep dealer selling it

CRDs have a 1 piece 16 valve head. I believe the belt should be done at 60K miles.

Is there anything l should look out for ,l drove it ,smooth throught gears,engine was clean ,no sign of oil leaks,has 71 k on clock
has a manual gearbox ,the engine is crd type,not sure if any good
getting diesel as its cheaper over here to run on at 1.06 per litre
all new tyres

Make sure the dealer checks the fromnt ball joints as they're prone to premature failure. Other than that, just commonsense stuff. I have an '04 KJ Pioneer CRD commercial, I drive it hard and average 25 MPG.

Balljoints front and timing belt where changed at 67 k miles
how does that sound to you

Sounds ok to me, you're buying from a Jeep dealer so you should get a decent warranty with it anyway. It is due a service at 72000 so make sure it's done before you collect it.
