got some pics that I will post up Will, great event but so tired today. Must have walked miles  :icon_winkle:

I must apologise for your breakages, it must be me   :icon_redface:

You came into my special stage 7 and bust your front winch then we found you on sunday and your truck made a nasty noise leading to retirement.

Well done for the night stage result tho :greggmo:

Had a fantastic time at the Welsh Xtrem, suspension was smooth, axles worked a treat, so what left to break.......oh yeah the spinny thing under the bonnet:

We even managed to win the night stage which bagged me an Ashcroft locker:-)

That's what's known in the trade as Fooked! Not a pretty sight :(

There is more than enough power for my drive train in the 4.0 I6, so I will replace like for like, plus there are a few cherks about I can raid for parts. I also have an Aw4 to go in at the same time. I would quite like to stroke a 4.0 but am not sure now is the time to do it, my main concern is building a system or baffling the sump so that oil starvation is not an issue when operating at extreme angles for any length of time, like we do.

As steve will confirm, the axles and suspension were working a treat! :greggmo:

More late nights on pirate then...

Dry sumping looks an expensive and complicated route. Did they ever do a deep sump :017:

Accusump is a good halfway house for short duration starvation. Can also be used for pre and post shut down oiling.

Well, we've had a few late nights apres work, last thursday the engine came out, followed quickly by the box and tc, and after a few hours at the weekend and tonight, trying to fathom out which orientation to have the clocking ring( i was trying to do away with it as the aw4 is a gnats longer than the ax15) we are all bolted back together and ready to go back in,

Oil cooler is coming, and i need to sort the loom mod and we are away, i may have to adjust where the axles sit to take into account the extra length of the aw4
