Had a completely Flat battery after leaving the heated seats on over the whole weekend.

Went to jump start and may have accidentally reversed the the polarity of the jump leads, for just a second, as i was using to bump start via jump cables form another battery. in the dark.

Now the starter motor is turning and i think i am getting spark but nothing just turing over but not catching, i have the key symbol and engine symbol coming up??!! any ideas?? I have tried locking and unlocking the car to turn off the immobiliser but still no joy.
really fucking pissed off at myself and the car.

Take both terminals off and leave a while then hook back up. Did this when mine went flat. Had all the alarms going off reset with fob then it started. Well thats what I did !!!
Good Luck

Not wanting to sound on the expensive side, but knew someone who did that on an XJ and fried the ECU . Tried another unit with it programed and that worked.
Hopefully its not that and can be sorted .

this might be it i have changed the crankshaft sensor and can shaft sensor and the dash is still not showing any volts or fuel which is a normally a sign of a problem with the PCM.

so this could be a big bill :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :010: :010:

The TCM unit cost me about £555.00 (back in 2011)  but i also had to pay auto lec chap £150.00 as tried that repair first. Best bet would be to try if poss another PCM and a DRB unit from jeep dealer. Had to get the unit from the dealers not sure how much a second hand unit would be but could have same problem.
