Confucius say if you no want to use the spare,get pneumatic sack barrow wheel and use that.

Ah, this technology stuff VERY BAD JUJU...

Chuck the little buggers in the tyre of a cheap plastic wheelbarrow wheel, inflate and hide it under the back seat, wont weigh or cost much & its a pressure vessel (of sorts), so safe as houses.
Can also be reinstalled if required by next owner or if MOT man if'n him stupid an' wants 'em in.

Simples!

Eastry, as indicated above did exactly that. Two TPMS's snugly together in a barrow tyre. NO MORE check tyre pressure bongs - lights - Pings - etc. and worst of all tires loosing pressure big time through corrosion of the valves.   :icon_super:

But wanna hear something funny ?

After a couple of days of uninterrupted happy WK motoring ............. PING ... service tyre pressure system

A) The bitch has got a soul and is out to get me  :icon_eek:

or

B) the programmers at Jeep or however wrote the programming for the CPU had a laugh one morning and chuckled "Hey lets fuck with this guy"  :icon_twisted:

The only difference is that it goes away by itself after a minute or so and sometimes it doesn't show at all.  I have conventional valves in my tires now and the air remains where it is, so the bitch can scream its head off as far as I'm concerned.  I'm not listening  :hysterical:


Its a fantastic truck and I absolutely love driving it now. :greggmo:

Time to beat the bastard at its own game then, cos that would still drive me bloody daft!
Take a pair of side cutters to the buzzer wires and then have the thing exorcised.
Or:
Watch out for an ECU from a scrapper that didnt have black magic tyre valves, install that in your truck and EBAY the present one, key codes etc would probably make this a crap option but its a nice thought!

The WK has way more complicated electrics than older jeeps, swapping an ECU would probably require a dealer tech programming the thing for a whole day. Definitely a vehicle to treat as a car to be maintained and not a Jeep to be played with. Still love mine 99% of the time.

On the plus side, the WK we just bough has had 4no pressure valves fitted by dealer.

So should be ok for a while.
