Steering probs

Hi, all I'm new to this group so please bear with us , I have a 1999 3.1 limited grand Cherokee , I have a few issues with it at mo which I wish to address . First issue I have is the left side of steering is out with a lot of play in it , any ideas what it could be .

check upper and lower Balljoints....... Jack up and with crow bar under wheel see if there is movement.....like they do at the MOT.
All Track rod ends as well cos play in them will cause shake wander and loose feeling.....
