FSJ Cherokee Laredo
« on: April 04, 2014, 03:32:12 PM »

Anyone else on here got one with the factory fitted sunroof?
My '81 has one but it sorta got mutilated by the P.O. who obviously had some sort of nautical fetish and decked out the entire roof interior in varnished wooden planking.
So I need some photos of the sunroof and winder handle assembly from inside the vehicle.
My original headliner and winder mechanism were missing.
Maybe I will be able to adapt something from another vehicle.
Or maybe I'll be able to get the required bits off EBay US.
It would help greatly if I knew what I was looking for.

'Tis a two door.
Does that make any difference?
I'm wondering if some of the later Wagoneers were fitted with the same unit?

I should be able to get some pics Monday but they won't show a lot.
The shell is bare and the sunroof unit is stored in a shed

I did try asking about this on the IFSJA forums,  but got some pretty dumbass replies TBH.
Like "check one out at your local wrecking yard"
There are some very clever folk on there.
And some not so clever.

I still gotta research this properly.
There be masses of information on the IFSJA site about model options and trim levels.
I got an idea that the Laredo models had a factory fitted sunroof as standard but maybe it was an optional extra.
Will find out shortly.
