Compressor help
« on: September 15, 2013, 10:44:05 PM »

After an hour of googlin Bulldog needs another chaperoning service into the world of tech gobblydygook  :100:

Got the compressor off H at the weekend (see pics below) and altho I can find people sellin it as a package I cant find anywhere sellin the missing parts - is this stuff you can buy separately (ie not specifically Viair parts)?

For starters it needs: "1/4” stainless steel braided leader hose with 1/4” NPT inline check valve"

and then:

Inflation Gun with Pressure Gauge
Two 25 Foot Coil Hoses
45° Extended Reach Chuck
90° Twist-on Chuck
Heavy Duty Battery Clips with Inline Fuse Holder

On the plus side accordin to its specs it will do a 35" tyre from 0 - 32 in just over 2 mins :greggmo:

Cheers gents

Finally got round to this and im £50 lighter thanks to machine mart :011: (I think a complete package may have made more sense)

However they had nowt for connection to the battery - could I just use jump leads on those tiny connectors or will that cause me probs?

Nooooooo!

Get small round ones that will attach to your battery terminal and crimp on to your wires....

And I would get a relay some more wire and an illuminated switch.

You can then switch on from In cab and know when it's running.....by the light...... :icon_sad:

But I guess you've fallen on the floor in a narcoleptic stupor after reading that....
Only joking..... :icon_twisted:

get black and red wire and jumper clips and connect to the wires already on it. Just makes sure wire is thick enough and you do good connection and cover with shrink tube and/or tape.
