Hi,
my WJ has a leaking o/s oil seal, can you pull the half shaft and pack the seal with grease as a temporary repair till
closer to MOT time?
reason for asking is, when I did them on my TD I needed a slide hammer to get them out which left the outer race in the
end of the tube which you then just pulled out with your fingers? does this damage the bearing if your just going to put
the half shaft back in without replacing the bearing?
