Hi Guys,

The electric mirrors on our Cherokee 2006 CRD 2.8 Sport have stopped working, the fold away option works fine.

I have put power direct to the mirror motor and it works, so I bought a new 2nd hand switch... this one just moves the mirror every so slightly just kinds of takes up the load but does no more...??!

Duff switch...? again..

Any other parts in the system that I could can check out.?

Give the parts of the mirror that move a good blast with WD40....worked for me

It's turned into one of those jobs where I took it all apart, found nothing a miss, put it all back together and it works fine...

The whole assembly is plastic, and well greased up still from the factory..


Working now so gonna leave it alone... :agree:

Note... I did find that the mini electric motor can be bought separately for about £3.00 each, lot cheaper than buying a replacement actuator assembly or complete mirror.. all just clips together too..part number...  FC-140RE-09510 Mabuchi 12V DC Motor.
