XJ vibration
« on: August 06, 2016, 08:59:30 AM »

 a mate of mine has a XJ 4.0 auto , about 1997-8, in south Africa, it has been suffering with bad vibration for a year or so, so far, he has;
balanced the wheels, swapped the wheels round.
had both prop shafts balanced.
jacked up the back end and ran it in drive, the vibration was still there.

the vibration starts at about 40-50 mph, if he keeps driving at a constant speed, the vibration gets worse and worse, the longer he drives the jeep for. it has been in several garages that he knows, but nobody can find the problem, has anyone had the same problem ?

Possible bent halfshaft? Think Lord Tim had a similar fault on his tj.
