cherokee brakes

hi dudes/ dudettes

back on the road now and giving the brakes a bit of TLC

changed the front discs and pads no worries

backs look a bit tougher , had a scoot round the old posts but couldnt find anything relevent

can anyone point me in the right direction ????

I found the Haynes Manual to be quite good for this.  Also took some photos before so I could check that I had all the bits back in the right place.  Don't throw the old shoes away too quickly, there is a stud on the carrier that you need to swap onto the new shoes.  The proper brake tools would make it easier but if you don't want to spend the £££s then it can be done with pliers.

If they are the same as the CJ, then yes, they are a pain.

Seems obvious, but for gods sake, only strip one side at a time. That way you can refer to the other complete side.
