Your local parts place first.  Lighthouse and the Stealership for filters.

I don't bother with fancy oil.  I just use Morris Lubricacts normal stuff.  It gets changed every 3 months, so why waist the money??

Any motor factors should sort you out, but use decent oil, VMs are very unforgiving of neglect!!!! I use magnatec, but that's cus it was cheap. £5 a gallon stuff is asking for trouble. You may well find that a local garage can do you an oil and filter change with decent oil for less than you can do it yourself.

OK OK!

I'm going to flush the engine first as the oil is BLACK and I mean Black!

Then I'll put some Magnatec With some ZX1 I think.

I'll check part prices tomorrow and report back!

Not sure I'd flush it. VMs have badly designed oil galleries etc, and shifting some crud may just clog one up, and lead to you needing new heads.

Black oil is oil that's doing it's job!

dont flush em, it tends to loosen stuff and get it in the pump, okay if its been done from new but on an old engine dont bother, if you are worried do another oil change after a few hundred miles
