Transfer shifter noise
« on: September 12, 2006, 04:10:03 PM »

Greased front prop shaft at the nipple yesterday. left the jeep on my drive in Full time 4. Went to use it today and theres like a grating/brushing noise now whether its in 2wd or 4. Everything works as it should asides the noise. its like a loud wind blowing onto something and it can be made louder when i push the tranny lever forward. Any ideas as i`m pretty lost here guys.
The car was 100% silent prior to yesterday and was run in 2wd until the last 400m of my journey when i just popped inot 4 as it hadn`t been used for a couple of weeks.
  Any help appreciated. :?
