just bought a left hand drive wrangler 'islander' in 4 litre manual spec...boy does this thing shift!!!...imported from qatar and undersealed/waxoiled from new its a solid as a rock.....
having a couple of teething probs...someone has disconected the heater matrix and though there is no sign of water damage in the cabin or behind the dash, im assuming its fubar!!....i have also noticed a clunking from the rear when i pull away in first or second...but this only occurs when iv done a few miles and the jeep is warm..when started from cold, its perfect....??could this be a worn engine/gearbox/axle mount or tired rubber bushes....
..everything seems to work well, starts first time, uses no oil or water...have been advised to try changing the diff oil for the correct 'weight' oil...but the diff, gearbox etc...never make any whining or untoward noises.......so back to bushes perhaps???...any advice greatfully received...ps...am LOVING the jeep experience so far.....cant wait ti get the damned heater fixed!!!
