Jeep wort start !!!

Can anyone please advise.

98 Grand cherokee Orvis 4.0.

I have been away for 4 weeks and the Jeep was ok when i left. I tried to start it and the solenoid clicked but it wouldnt turn over. i tried a battery booster and a jump start from a discovery and still the motor wont turn. the lights are very dim. Now the starter solenoid wont click in. A stupid question but am i doing something wrong ???

BTW Reckon Daggies correct..new battery is needed cells sound like they've gone

try changing the battery anyway. then if you still have problems start lookin at other stuff that might be killing your battery.
