« on: September 23, 2006, 01:18:57 AM »

as it says what have you found to be your favorite tweek youve done on your jeep so far. i have to say so far the lockers are by far my fave. combined with the re-geared axles it is sometimes scary where you can get. but do you remember going on to your first set of muds? the diferance whith disconects was surprising too. whats the best bit???

my two TJ faves are discos which made such a difference when we was basically stock and

2" lift- i don't get frustrated grounding out on the skid all the time and it looks the dogs wollocks  8)

KJ- only mod is slightly larger AT's than stock, I have looked at lifts but not convinced it will improve things that much  :?

Nearly every mod i've made has made a massive difference

Mud terrains; grip & control

Rock sliders; peace of mind

2" lift; nice to not ground out over everything

Disconnects; ARTICULATION!!!     :D

Disconnects.

I think that £ for £ they make the biggest difference.

Closely follows by mad tyres.

Breaing in mind mine had a 2" lift and discos when I got it...

The tank guard.... dunno how many times I've heard it "Thunk" down on logs and alike, and think ahh, that's okay!  Gotta be the best for piece of mind.

Mud tyres was also an amazing change in the beast... specially when combined with the staun deflators.

Now there's the move to 33's and more clearance.... :)

Very hard to decide a best mod as it's always the one or ones that kept you moving!

Oh one final one.... disabling having to have the clutch down to start the car!

They've all made a difference and i like them all.
There has been a gap between fitting them so i have appreciated and got used to each one..... 8)

I'm with Ed for tank skid and peace of mind same as the rock sliders but i think the favourite has to be the lift....

for the mo... :D

I think the best mod is always the last one.  8)

Oh, and this visor clip for sunglasses works well too http://www.quadratec.com/products/produ ... bmit=Go%21 .  Not really a mod, but it solves the problem of where to keep your shades handy in a TJ.  I'm easily impressed.  :D

I think my fave mod has to be my snorkel, gives me reassurance off road and when playing in puddles on road!

I'm rather partial to my Cragars and 33's too.

C'mon guys, it's simple.
Buying a Jeep in the first place has to be the best move of the lot!
Just think how miserable you'd be stuck with a Solihull Slugger!
