bah ive done it again  only a month since i had a new cross member fitted to replace the previous one i crumpled. Now ive gone and squished this one.

these things as standard must be made of monkey metal.

So the question is. can anyone recomend where i can get another one which is tougher/improved/armoured/sam proof. i dont mind if its off the shelf or custom made.

am hoping this is the last time i replace it as when the lift project is finished it wont suffer as much.(fingers crossed).

have had a quick look on t'interweb but dont seem to be much in the Uk, (i need to move to arizona). found some interesting things in USA but im havent enquired about shipping etc (it only happened yesterday).

thought id ask you lot before re-inventing the wheel and spending hours searching for something.

links / contact numbers would be veeeery usefull

Ta in advance :D

Rusty's do a really nice heavy duty cross member which has the added advantage of dropping the t case without reducing ground clearance.  Nice touch if you're considering a lift.

It might be worth taking a look at their t case skid too while you're at it. :D

Speak to tim aka tim.  He got his lift kit from them.  I have to say it's very good kit.  I'm not sure they mention overseas shipping on the site, but give them a ring, and with the exchange rate at the moment.......cheap too!

Yup.  I've been eyeing up their long arm conversion for a while now. 8)

I like Rusty's stuff for skids etc. and that crossmember is on my wish list when I bash mine up!

Do everything by phone with them though. Confirm when your order will be posted and double check addresses and things. A lot of them have trouble with accents, and their southern drawl is pretty funny too.

The best thing to do is speak to them by phone but also get that salesman's email address and email him your requirements and your postal address. I did that and had no problems, they sent exactly what I ordered, which was quite a lot!

Good luck dealing with rusty's. He's the biggest scammer going. Seems like alot of people have good luck with them/there products and other get screwed from the start. Look on J33P, someone just had a bunch of problems with there stuff. Sam if needed I can build you one you CAN'T destroy if you post me an old one to copy.

oooh er what a dilema  just read the thread on J33P. maybee he had probs as it sounded like he'd ordered custom made bits that didnt fit whereas mine would be more or less 'off the shelf''. However I may take you up on that offer thanks ponyracer. i will find one of my old least squished ones as a template and we will take it from there. i will be in touch :D

Ya no probs. Also check on NAXJA, join up then search for rusty's, MAN there are some horror stories on there. Just as strange though, theres tons of people that had a really great experience with him/his product.

If you keep mashing cross members you might want to consider a decent lift.  :D
