clutch pedal
« on: February 20, 2007, 08:49:18 PM »

Hi,

My clutch pedal has quite a bit of free play before it moves the master cylinder input  shaft,  if i pull it up from rest it moves a inch or more! .   I've checked this against my mates  and he has a lot less.  is there a way to adjust the free play?.........thanx

yes hydraulic,

the play is on the pedal , not the master cylinder,  are you saying  a new master cylinder, or pedal mechanism?  i can feel the play at the back of the pedal before it pushes  the master cylinder rod

i guess there could be play in the pin that ties the pedal to the master or play in the pedal fixing its self but the masters are not too deer if it is that.
