TJ extended fender flares?
« on: March 22, 2007, 07:51:31 AM »

After  the spanking I recieved  this week, trying to climb sandy soiled hills with inexpensive All terrains, I ordered some 33x 12.5 Xterrains online.
I now have to replace the fender flares to keep the Police happy , and out of the budget.

I have looked at
Bushwackers( daughter has these)
Xenons   lifetime warrenty
Warn
some of the not so known brands.
and even the poison spider/ phantom type tube fenders.

does anyone have experiences, good or bad with any of these.

It rains so much here, we actually rust rather than tan, so full ( almost) width is essential. ( Flare has to extend to theedge of the tread).

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.      Martyn

6" warn every time........don't bother with bushwankers as they are so brittle, every time you rub them against something they break

What about Egr...

Don't know what the quality is like but they are half the price and if you crease them regularly it will hurt less...

Just a thought... 8)

Bushwankers!  I thought they were called Shitwackers! Guess that sums them up really.....

Xenons have a lifetime warranty. Pointless really, 'cos you can't kill them. They have proved to be indestructable on my YJ, the front wings bend but the flares just love it 8)

I have just done a repair on a set of bushwackers for my daughters Jeep. We had to epoxy many of the mounting holes, and a few cracks just to make them serviceable. but for 75bucks, they cover the tires.
I found xenons for 299 dollars, so they arrive this week sometime.

thanks Guys for the info. Hopefully I will be out next weekend bending them on the trees.
Cheers.
