TJ Door Inner Card Removal
« on: May 31, 2007, 09:49:01 AM »

I need your advice:
I need to replace the outer door handles on my TJ after they had a bad reaction to steam cleaning some time ago!
I've been following the factory manual & can get the window winders off & all the screws holding the card.
Do I need to undo the inner door handle & both door pull screws?
Also the inner is held in place by push on plastic clips; as its so tight on the door I can't get a trim removal tool in.
Any tips to doing this withou bosting something or should I just wrench it off?

a largish flat bladed screw driver will do it just feel your way round the card to find the clips a gentle but firm flick will pop them out  if you are unlucky and bust one or two  go down the scrappys they are a common fitment  but i would not think they can be the dear from the stealers

Thanks for the info Bubba! Big screw driver wrenching is the way to go! Good to see the clips are available if (when) I break some!
