But will an '03 hardtop fit on a '97?

in short yes it will fit.................but!!! the wire plug for the rear wiper/heated screen is incompatible also check if the vent's are in the roof at the rearmost post as on 03 model year they moved the vent to the rear tailgate.
both points not insurmountable, just as long as you are aware of them.

go with peter on this one cos i really was unsure. i thought the front fitting over the screen was different in some way.

on the 03 model year they fitted a plastic cover on the inside of the "a" pillar and across the top of the screen.................that is probably what you had in mind greggmo.
it has no bearing on the roof mounting purely aspherical.

UK,

The guy I bought my TJ from is selling the hard top as I didn't want it, its spice from 97 green sahara, in croydon ,sy though.
His ad is on J33P classifieds.

Thats why i was asking. Basically looking to see if that top would fit an older Heep. He's got it on the bay too, BTW.
