Grand Key fob programming and 'service warning'
« on: June 05, 2007, 03:30:11 PM »

Ive ordered a spare key fob for my Grand, does anyone know how to programme it? Also how do I get rid of the 'Miles to next service' warning?

EDIT: Ive just had a thought, I ordered it from the states, will it work?

I had to get a new remote fob for my KJ, and somebody (Mike?) said on here that a States one wouldn't work for me  :(

I had to go to the stealership to buy one and get it sorted out...

Here you go  :D

There's a good chance that the fob won't work as European rules on radio frequency devices are different to US legislation. In addition, you will have to get someone with a Chrysler DRBIII scan tool to program the vehicle to recognise the remote. THe correct fob for the UK model is almost square and has two buttons. The wedge shaped one with the infra red LED on the front is no good, and the square one with the red panic button is a US version which probably won't work. The peanut shaped ones for later models won't work either. The orrect fob was also used on '97 on XJ, TJ and Chrysler Voyager.
