brakes

ive put new piston kits in my callipers . ive bled the brakes several times  but now ive no brakes!HAS ANYONE GOT ANY REMEDY ASAP AS IM GOING OFF ROADING THIS WEEKEND HOPEFULLY :cry:  :cry:

you must still have air in there somewhere mate. have you any pedal at all?

have you bled all of the brakes and do you still got a squishy pedal if so it is still air in system

WHEN IM DRIVING IT THE PEDAL GOES RIGHT DOWN TO THE FLOOR!DO YOU THINK I NEED TO CLEAN OUT ALL THE FLUID? :(  :(  :(

you still got plenty air in the system you need to redo them a full fluid change is always good

dont just bleed the wheel you have serviced you will have to do all the wheels. start at the rear first then do the fronts

Stupid question, but you have put the calipers back on the correct sides?

The bleed nipple must be to the top above the brake line.

Hi Mark , are you using a pressure bleeder ,  found they are sooo much easier to get a decent pedal  8)

Hi,  try locking of your flexi pipe  with mole grips,  then try the pedal if you get a brake you know were the air is!  go round the car till you find it!

My brakers are spomgy with a fair bti of foot fall on pressure to the pedal, does the mole grip on trick need to be on the ribber hoses by the wheels to detect the dodgy vrake with air in it,.Sorry if its a dumbass question but never messed with these brakes before???

not realy............if your vehicle is compatible with a 2004 wrangler i have a master cylinder here that has had six month use.
a reasonable cash offer plus some of my beloved peroni if ever we meet would secure it for you.

i bought one of those easy bleed systems from halfrauds (the one without the plastic container) got some dot 5 and 20 mins later all done. locking off each wheel is agood idea but can still trap air in the system tho'

cheers all for the info, mine is a 99 2.5 tds, so not sure if it will be compatible but i will try and find out, or maybe lighthouse might be able tohelp. Would rather deal in peroni tho,,,fingers crossed,,,anyone ever changed a brake master b4...????

your rear brake shoes arnt shaged are they or way out of adjustment are they as this gives a very poor pedal as you press with ya foot it then has to take up 12 miles of slack and leaves the pedal almost in the carpet i don't really like the mole grip thing unless you got proper clamps the jaws can be a bit Savage on a flexy

checked that bubba but thanks for the heads up.It came on all of a sudden rather than gradual, and I have now checked and have the hissing noise so I am kinda leaning towards the mster cylinder.Bled the nrakes and what bubble there have been removed and still no improvement.

well,,mush or a slight shhh than a hiss,,,but when i put my foot on the pedal, it hold for a second or two then travels down to the floor, and then i hear a slight shhhh,,,if that makes sense!!!

well,,,got a "new" master cylinder from lighthouse,,,about 120.00 all in and delivered,Fitted and no more problems,,,only problem is that I was that knackered on the way home I stopped for fuel and out unleaded into an almost empty tank,,ten quids worth,Not funny,So, have pumped out the lines and the tank and refuelled with good clean diesel,,if such exists,,,what a drama!!!
