CJ7 filter housing and Snorkel
« on: January 17, 2008, 08:44:20 AM »

I have a LHD CJ7 with a Webber carb that has an un covered air filter on it. So basically you can see the filter element. We have off roaded this CJ a bit but obviously this set up in not ideal for water. What I'm after is a sealed air filter housing like the original would have been. Also I would appreciate it if you could point me in the direction as to where I could find a snorkel or is it a case of making one. Thanks

Would a YJ one be near enough that you could fettle it to fit?

This is true and if they were for sale a Safari would be about £285 apparently

I fitted a YJ one to my previous CJ7 and it worked fine obviously I had to make it fit.

Looks like It could be a case of making one. Oh well of to B&Q then :? Not.

I have a bit of a fabrication shop so It looks like I will need some thin bore stainless steel pipe a few elbows and get welding.
