Calling all ZJ Grand Cherokees with side steps
« on: February 07, 2008, 04:02:33 PM »

Hi Everyone,

My wife (yes my wife, clearly the greatest woman alive.....for more than this reason alone) has sourced me some chrome side bars. They are from a toyota but with some minor mods and some brackets made they will go on a treat and look nice and chunky. They are about an inch longer then the side of the ZJ so will need a bit of trimming.

Would anyone be able to take a pic of the underneath of their ZJ so I can see where manufactured steps mount to the body? Also would anyone be able to measure the distance between the inside edge of the two brackets that they mount with.

I'll do a how to with pictures if anyone is interested.

Cheers

They fit with two T-headed bolts which fit into the two slotted holes in the side of the chassis rails.

I don't mind chrome but may get them stripped and powder coated black.

Anyone got pics / dimensions of the brackets?

Cheers
