Part number or best place to buy.
« on: June 04, 2008, 06:46:51 PM »

Can anyone give me the OE part number for a radiator for a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Orvis?
Noticed a fair puddle under my XJ earlier in town so took it home, took off the front grill and lekky fan checked to try and see where it was coming from. I dried it all up and took it a run. Came home after a good few miles and there was nothing.  :?:
It  does like its in need of replacing so i`m going to get one anyway.

Wheres the best place? Cheapest isn`t important but I`ll try dealers Last.

So do you want a radiator for a Grand Cherokee or a Cherokee 'cos they're totally different.

Are you sure the rad has a leak ? Could it have been the AC dropping water when the ice melted ?

Nope, that should do it, ask the seller to be sure, then it's his fault if it doesn't fit.

Been driving about in the bastard all morning and not a drop has came out of it. Any ideas why it would have a `one off` coolant leak anyone?
It was defiantely coolant. Green and sweet and came from my Jeep. A puddle the size of my head, then nothing. I`m driving a 500 mile round trip tomorrow and i don`t fancy taking the risk.
Any ideas? Its NOT the waterppump  or thermostat area, its the bottom RH(drivers) side. I`m fucking stumped.  :?:

Perhaps it was already there and you parked over it and think its from the jeep.

Mine dumps tons of water when parked after the a/c been on and it comes out the chassis too!!

mine had a bit of a drip when i bought it,it would drip every now and again and then go for days with no drips at all,so I put some "rad weld" in but not the usual stuff this stuffs green with crystals in and you shake the bottle to activate it.....hey presto no leaks, ill try and find out the name 4 you if you want......and its worked on my mates shogun water pump £5.00 a bottle is cheaper than a new rad
