« on: May 06, 2008, 02:59:43 PM »

Front fog lamps on my 1998 Grand have stopped working, anyone know what fuse they work off can't find in manual? Mine are after market fitted not standard one's, but still wired to same switch :-D

If 'aftermarket' this may help - basic bosch layout : http://www.classictruckshop.com/clubs/e ... glites.htm

If same switch as my 98 xj I had a similar problem with the stock fog lights (its a known issue with the switch) Chrysler didn't do a recall but produced a beefed up version charging about 50 squids a go!!! I stripped
out the switch, cleaned the contacts & so far so good - If the illumination light is lit on your switch it's unlikely that the switch is the problem? I beleive they remedied the problem on our years by adding a relay as the earlier models without, couldn't take the voltage/amperage through the switch alone?
Good idea to check it out with a multimeter if you have one - silly question but have you checked that the bulbs haven't blown :-(
