Stupid little question, I know , but does the clock on my '96 XJ have a seperate battery,  ( if so , where ? ) or is it just knackered cheers guys

It's fed off the power to the radio. There is a bulb soldered into the rear of the clock unit, and they sometimes break.

Anyone have an idea why my clock returns to 01.00 each time the ignition is switched off?  Or is it knackered too?

The 12v and ignition wires which go to the clock are wired up backwards.
