don't bother, get another diesel engine, 2.5 petrol is a real downgrade from a diesel

Ha Ha Ha

having owned both the good thing about the diesel is the engine braking. the downside is the constant money pit in fixing the crap engine, if you want to keep it as a diesel swap the engine for a vw or some thing more reliable.

as for downgrade the diesel is the downgrade from a 6 cylinder petrol. petrol alot quieter smoother easier to overtake more readily available parts

Fit a better diesel engine or rip it all out and put a v8 petrol in - I saw a 440ci big block on ebay yesterday!

Weigh them in. Two scrap cherokees = £500. £500= one nice 4.0 and no work.

they won't make that sort of money around here for scrap Iv'e got a very nice 4ltr but also got nice dead diesel with very good body and a good 2.5 petrol with well rusted body thought I 'd do a swap , don't like to see nice ones go to the jeep grave yard in the sky, or is it China to come back as house hold goods

if you want to swap petrol for diesel then remove diesel engine and loom plus electrics. fuel lines and fuel tank.

replace with petrol tank lines engine and all engine electrics then spend some confusing time making the right connections.

the engine monts might be different and not sure if the bolt locations on the body are the same

swap exhaust

Instrument cluster too. Ideally the axles cos the 2.5 petrol has 4.11s.

You're putting a load of effort into turning £500 of scrap into a £300 car.
