alternative wheels?
« on: June 25, 2008, 10:54:45 PM »

Anyone any ideas what other wheels fit a XJ?

Things with five holes that I can think of are Mercs, Audis, VW.

Anyone tried any, I'm after a bigger set for road use something like 17 inchs.

It's not all offroad fun you know

These are the wheels that were on the 4.0l when I bought it, the are called Borbet but they have been sprayed black, they should be normal silver alloy colour  :-D

But are they designed for a Cherokee or were they from another vehicle?

I used to run a breakers yard a few years ago and was aufait with what would fit what on cars but didn't really do much with 4x4s.  What I'd like to know is what other makes wheels will fit?

Wheel bolt pattern is the same as Ford Explorer, Toyota Rav4, Freelander, Lexus (not sure if alll models) and Jeeps YJ, TJ and ZJ. Maybe some others too. 5x4.5" = 5x114.3mm. The offset/backspacing would need to be check on any of theses wheels too.
