Aircon recharging
«

Evening all,
My aircon temp is rubbish and not cool at all. Is it often the case that a system just needs a recharge? I hear that if the system pressure drops below a certain point the compressor will shut down...is this the case?
Does the system just loose pressure over time or could it be something more expensive.
Prob take it to Kwik Fit due to the no cost thingy.
Cheers
RockingDad.

Go to KF. You should recharge every 2-3 years anyway. If it packs up again in a short time there's probably a leak. The evaporator was a favourite for this ZG.

Cheers for the replys guys.
Just got back from Kiwk Fit and it's nice and chilly in the jeep. There was no pressure in the system but the leak test was ok so i'll see how it goes. Makes a nice change not to have to throw lots of money at it to make it work!
Cheers
