4.0 ltr Engine position
« on: September 17, 2008, 08:27:29 PM »

As some of you are aware, I`ve changed the engine mounts on my XJ cos the manifold was cracked to fuck. The engine mounts were upgraded  (see my other posts) but standard height and the manifold was Stainless.
I noticed the brackets that hold the mounts looked like they were replacements (breaker marks on em)
My question is this , are the brackets the same for all XJs as I have a funny feeling my engine is sitting HIGH at the front. It looks higher and I thought when putting the breather onto the airbox it felt higher.
I now have a rattle from my bottom end and I`m wonderin if I replaced this kit could I rectify my rattle or am I fucked?  Could this even be my cause? Anyone have a side on picture of their engine in the bay?

Sorry for all my drivel but you guys are my only guide.

Anything really appreciated.
