Heating works in reverse & drivers door panel dead
« on: November 17, 2008, 12:05:31 AM »

Hi to all
Yep yet another electric problem on my
02 crd 2.7 grand cherokee.
First of all about a week ago the drivers door would not remote lock. All other doors were ok. Not a terrible problem, I just remote locked and used the key in the drivers door.
Could it be the door lock motor?  I am open to suggestions please :?:

Now the main problem which I don't know if the above is connected.
Today all window winders refused to work along with all drivers door functions. What also seems crazy is the heating now works in reverse. Turn the temp dials up and the air is like ice. Turn them down and the air gets hot. When the jeep is remote locked and alarmed opening the drivers door within a few seconds is supposed to cancel the alarm from arming but opening my door has no effect. It continues to rapid flash and arm.
Found suggestion else ware in forum to disconnect battery to reset drivers door control. Did this with no improvement.
Drives ok and lights, indicators all work. Simply  the heating works in reverse and nothing that is controlled via the drivers door control panel will work at all.
Please please someone know what is wrong
Thanks for any help or suggestions :smt039

Check for broken or shorted wires in the door harness. This is a common problem.

Sorry for the hijack, but my rear passenger door has similar issues, both the c/l and e/w don't work. Is there an earth wire off which could cause this, are there any obviouse wires to look for?
