I have a 2001 Cherokee 4.0L. After starting up she keeps cutting out after a few seconds. Restarting the same problem. On a Diagnostics test it showed up Crankshaft Position Sensor, So I changed it but still no difference, the wireing to the ecu has been checked and all good, can any one please help me on this as i'm stuck now on what it.

anything on the OBD scan since changing the CPS?
Have you checked the relays, I'd look at the fuel and ASD relays

The diagnostic code is still the same after the cps was changed, the code can be reset and comes back when driving putting your foot down hard

Hmmm, and you have checked the condition of the loom from the CPS? Any signs of water ingress into the plug at the CPS end?

Hi Adam!!!
My Buell sickle used to die on a run because the vent to the fuel tank was kinked and I'd get a vacuum in the tank..... the fuel couldn't make it to the carb.....
Not the same as this though.
Also my 4.0L Jag used to get quite a vacuum in the tank when nearly empty.... you got a hell of a rush of air IN when you took the cap off.
I'm sure the lads on here will sort it fella!!
