YJ tub on CJ
« on: January 23, 2009, 01:46:19 PM »

How much work do I have to do to to use a YJ tub on a CJ7?
I know about the fuel filler but I'm told there are other differences too.
Anything major like the mountings?
My information is these tubs are made from double side zinc coated steel.
How is this holding up after 20 years or so?

you got a yj tub now? bubba' knows a bit more about them, I think its something to do with the airvents that lead up to the screen, but not 100% sure and a few different body mounting points.

Nah! not yet.
I've been chasing a couple on eBlag but they've been way off and too expensive (yeah OK I'm tight as a ducks arse, I admit it)
I'm just thinking an abandoned project or damaged YJ might be the best way of getting a good tub on the cheap.
Especially if I break it for spares and sell all the running gear.
I just wanna find out how much work I'll be letting myself in for.
