transfer stick removal
« on: January 27, 2009, 04:02:51 PM »

the little plastic bit that goes around the base of my transfer stick is broken.  i hav sourced a replacement but i cant see how to actually fit it, i tried sliding it over the transfer stick but theres not a chance in hell of it fitting so i figured i had to either pull the stick or remove the rubber handle bit.  neither of which i have managed to do yet..

does the rubber bit unscrew or is it moulded on?  how does the stick come out? is it easyish or a no no??

also, while im here, how do i get it into 4lo??  i can get 4hi and neutral but it wont go any more than that, wont pull to the back of the selector and just feels hard to pull.. is there a clever trick i don't know yet?

cheers,
joel

don't knwo about the stick but I will look it up, to get into 4 lo you need to be stationary and in neutral, then pull back on the lever and it should drop in, if you have not used it in a while it can be very stiff.

Pull lever into 4 hi.

Insert fingers into the groove of moulding - and pull
