Big tyres XJ
« on: January 31, 2009, 03:58:54 PM »

Hi, does anybody know if 265/70x15 tyres will fit on a 1996 XJ? The car is standard apart from diesel leafs on the rear.
Thanks

might be ok if your just driving on the road. the lock stops might (will) need adjusting, off road and your going to rub the bodywork very quickly

not a fantastic photo but 235's on a 2" lift just tuck in the arches at the rear

you would need to extend your bumpstops for 265's

Hmm interesting, my Cherry Orvis came with (road) 255/65 16's on and look good. I was considering up grading to 265/70's BFG's and was going to ask this question anyway.
