Dana 35 swap
« on: February 22, 2009, 06:14:23 PM »

After some infomation and pointers really if i may :-?
Right, im about to embark on a minor project with a fellow jeeper who has a grand cherokee - 1996 vintage - and his axle has gone tits up. He has access to a XJ cherry of the same age with an open rear axle. Question is as they are both Dana 35's will the internals of the XJ version fit the ZJ, the XJ is an open axle but that doesn't make a difference does it?

The internals are interchangable but you need to check the ring and pinion are the right ratio.
