power folding mirror problem
«

Hi, having problems with both power folding mirrors on 2005 cherokee, neither will operate and drivers side wont even stay open ( blows backin wind ). both were repaired whilst under warranty. can they be repaired without buying full units ?
I use towing mirrors which has probably caused the problem in the first place.
Cheers in advance. Rick.

Uh oh. Try resetting the control module with the battery off for a while,
but later Jeeps have a habit of doing this with power mirrors. They're
a complete unit and are over 300 quid a piece at the dealer.
Rockauto.com sell em dirt cheap, but LHD mirrors MAY not point in the
right direction for a RHD vehicle. Never managed to get the question of
LHD mirrors pointing correctly on RHD cars answered.
Rockauto.com price
Left hand power folding mirror = $53.79
Right hand = $52.79
Shipping to Uk $63.25

Doesn't sound like a power problem, i can hear the motor running... its more like the cogs inside that have given up.

Pretty normal unfortunately. If you want folding mirrors, need to get out your wallet
Resetting the control unit was a very long shot.
