« on: April 21, 2009, 07:53:17 PM »

After fitting tow bar electrics i have a message on the display panel saying rear lamp fault and have two red lights indicating that my rear lights are not working but they are working ? any idea`s ?or can i disconnect the display panel , i`m thinking it might be the switch itself perhaps . Thanks all, Vance

I take it you have fitted the tow bar elctrics by splicing into the loom, on some car's with bulb failure circuits, you can't do this, you need a special part that sends the bulb failure unit a false signal when its disconnected, I had to to have one fitted when my audi had a tow bar fitted.

Disconnect the battery for a while and see if that clears the fault.
