Hi guys. Got my jalopy on the road now, taxed MOT'd and insured. However, the N/S/F brake caliper is sticking slightly. It was much worse on my way home from work today, but I've had the wheel off and fiddled a bit and now it is a bit looser, but there is still a little rubbing. I'm going to take the caliper off a bit later, and see if I can get it properly unstuck. The beast was sitting for about 8 months before I bought it, not moving at all, and I reckon this is what has caused the stick.

If I can't get it fixed myself, I may look at replacing the front calipers. If so, how much will they set me back? And new discs?

lighthouse do seal kits for the calipers, i believe they are the same as the 4.0ltr, i wouldn't have thought they would be any different

I doubt you'll need new discs if its just started sticking, but I bought a pair off ebay complete with the pads and they have been fine!

I paid £48 for an exchange unit last year

If both sides need rebuilding & refurb kits are needed then its far more economical to buy new ones from US ebay & the results are guaranteed to be good.

Thanks guys, I still haven't dissected the caliper yet so i'll let you know how i'm proceeding when I get it done.
